A reputable public entity in the skills development and training sector is seeking to appoint a highly skilled Interim Supply Chain Manager. The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership oversight and operational management for the organisations end-to-end Supply Chain Management (SCM) function during a transitional period.
This role requires a strong background in public sector SCM excellent knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks and solid experience within the SETA environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide strategic and operational leadership across the full SCM value chain including Demand Acquisition Logistics Contract and Asset Management.
Ensure full compliance with PFMA Treasury Regulations PPPFA Preferential Procurement Regulations SCM Instructions/Practice Notes and other applicable legislation.
Lead mentor and support the SCM team to ensure effective performance and adherence to policies and processes.
Oversee and manage sourcing strategies supplier performance and procurement planning.
Review update and enforce SCM policies SOPs and systems.
Manage audits mitigate SCM risks and implement corrective action plans.
Ensure accurate reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
Strengthen governance internal controls and transparency within SCM processes.
Requirements
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Candidates must meet the following criteria:
A minimum of 6 years experience in Supply Chain Management within the public sector or related environment.
At least 3 years managerial experience in Public Sector Supply Chain Management (mandatory).
Strong background working within the SETA environment (mandatory).
A B Degree or equivalent qualification (NQF level 7) in Supply Chain Management Procurement Logistics Finance or a related field.
Membership with a recognised SCM professional body e.g. CIPS CILT SAPICS or any relevant SCM association.
In-depth knowledge of PFMA Treasury Regulations Preferential Procurement Regulations PPPFA and other SCM legislative frameworks.
Experience in managing SCM audits and implementing audit action plans.
Proven ability to lead motivate and manage functional teams.
Excellent communication analytical and stakeholder management skills.
