About the Role
As an ABM Manager at DS Smith you will play a pivotal role in our marketing communications team focused on owning and delivering marketing strategies & campaigns tailored to key accounts and their growth. You will have ownership for creating deep engagement with our most important accountsparticularlyMost Wantedaccountsby reshaping broader communications into (hyper) personalised high-impact campaigns that are tailored to customer audience journeys.
You will lead the development of a technology-enabled ABM infrastructureand will ensure internal stakeholders are aligned to the communication strategy for key accounts. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and create strategic ABM communication plans (1:1 and 1:FEW) crafting tailored messaging and content strategies for specific accounts taking accountability for generating qualified growth opportunities with our top accounts
Foster a culture of collaboration with senior leaders cross-functionally (especially sales) at DS Smith to create personalised campaigns that align with key account priorities and pain points
Adapt broader brand campaigns into highly targeted ABM initiatives that resonate with individual accounts and drive deeper engagement
Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to identify and profile key decision-makers and critical influencers within the Top 80s
Continuously optimise ABM strategies based on data insights to ensure relevance and effectiveness adapting tactics to meet evolving market dynamics and account needs
Working with agreed marketing analytics/ KPIs and intelligence tools track and analyse account engagement and ROI providing insights into campaign performance and areas for improvement
Create customer-facing sales enablement materials personalised by account that support sales conversations
Create lead and have accountability for a Customer Engagement strategy for Most Wanted/ prioritised customers that delivers personalised and consistent presentation of our value proposition messaging and offers.
Collaborate and influence across regional and market structures on the delivery of this strategy to all most wanted & prioritised strategic accounts.
About You
Experience in a communications/ marketing - or customer facing role with experience in account-based marketing B2B marketing or a similar role
Proven success in developing and influencing customer communication and channel strategies that drive engagement and growth
Strong understanding of customer personas and audience mapping to inform content and channel decisions.
Highly experienced at developing tailored marketing strategies for defined audiences aligning closely with sales and business/ customer growth objectives
Excellent verbal and written communications skills with the ability to interpret value propositions into personalised customer focused content
Skilled in influencing internal stakeholders (e.g. sales) at all levels and aligning them to a shared communication strategy
Analytical mindset with the ability to assess campaign performance and optimise accordingly
Experience in developing and managing marketing technology stacks and agency relationships with a deep understanding of CRM systems and marketing automation tools.
Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to execution.
