Cafeteria Cook
Position Requirements
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of the basic teachings of the Catholic Church
- Knowledge of use of office equipment
- Able to communicate effectively in both written and verbal form
- Skill in critical thinking and planning
- Ability to honor and maintain confidentiality
- Ability to multitask; be flexible and capable of handling a variety of on-going projects at the same time
- Self starter and takes initiative with limited supervision
- Ability to work collaboratively with others
- Professional demeanor and appearance
- Demonstrate reliability punctuality and personal integrity. Personal issues do not interfere with professional responsibility.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and personal demeanor
- Review the lunch menu and make any changes.
- Make a list of items and ingredients needed/low on.
- Prepare meals - typically 30-80 children eat - sometimes less or more depending on the meal.
- Pick up food ordered from restaurants (twice a week unless it is delivered to the campus) at 10:45AM.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Willingness to learn new skills and advance in personal development
Special Requirements:
- Preferred practicing Catholic in good standing
- Prior food service experience is preferred but not required
- Must clear Safe Environment
- Must hold a food handlers certificate
- Required hours: 10AM-2PM Monday-Friday
