Job Summary

Title: Employee Engagement and Benefits Manager

Supervisor: VP of Human Resources and Risk Management

Salary: $63000 $66000 annually

Status: Exempt 40 hours per week

Location: 29 North Hamilton St Poughkeepsie NY 12601

Function:

This position reports directly to the Vice President for HR and Risk Management. The Employee Engagement and Benefits Manager is responsible for administering employee benefits in all agency operations. This position provides exceptional guidance and assistance to all employees on various employee benefit plans. Additionally the Employee Engagement and Benefits Manager will develop strategies to improve engagement and manage programs designed to enhance FSIs culture as well as promote longevity and engagement among team members including but not limited to the areas of recruitment onboarding retention recognition learning and development diversity wellness and other activities aimed at creating a positive workplace environment that supports everyones right to thrive.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree in Communications Human Resources or a related field and 2 years experience workingas ageneralist in human resources and/or a people and culture role OR 5 years experience working as a generalist in human resources and/or a people and culture role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Canva
  • Must have reliable transportation to visit 13sites throughout Dutchess Ulster and Orange Counties

Position Responsibilities:

  • Administer and audit all employee benefit programs including medical dental vision supplemental insurance financial benefits (FSAs 403B) and wellness programs.
  • Prepare and facilitate benefits meetings and orientations providing employees with clear information on company benefits incentive programs and use of the iNavigator system.
  • Maintain relationships with benefits brokers and vendors and communicate required changes or updates to employee plans.
  • Maintain employee benefits filing systems and ensure benefits changes are entered appropriately in payroll system for payroll deduction
  • Manage and communicate benefit premium payments during the employee leave process.
  • Assist and direct employees to proper avenues for benefit claims and plan questions
  • Assist VP of HR in obtaining statistics and information in renewal process of any health life and retirement plans that benefit the company
  • Support and coordinate annual open enrollment including informational meetings new benefit entry and employee education.
  • Ensure distribution of required employee notices
  • Assist VP of HR and AD of HR in completing benefits reporting requirements

Work Environment Office work setting quiet but busy environment works with a highly communicative HR team. Will work closely with all departments leadership and employees in the schedule available.
