In line with this mission we are seeking a highly motivated professional with strong analytical skills and strategic thinking capable of translating insights into actionable advice and ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication abilities with proven experience engaging effectively across senior leadership technical teams and external partners.
This role requires someone who can work independently proactively identify and solve problems and adapt quickly to changing priorities. A high degree of flexibility and a strong service-oriented attitude are essential. This will enable the successful candidate manage ad hoc situations and tasks with confidence and efficiency. ResponsibilitiesAdvise the Executive Director and NMT on strategic and internal processes and lead effective follow-up both within NORCAP and NRC.
Manage and coordinate meetings presentations and schedules for the NORCAP Management Team with a specific focus on the NMT meetings.
Manage and coordinate the Executive Directors missions in line with standard operating procedures.
Manage and coordinate planning and execution for various department meetings annual partnership meetings executive missions and high-level engagements including agendas logistics and follow-up tracking.
Coordinate the preparation and quality assurance of talking points speeches presentations and briefing materials for internal and external use for the Executive Director in collaboration with the Communication and Advocacy Specialist.
Coordinate strategic engagement with key partners and stakeholders on behalf of the Executive Director and Management Team ensuring visibility alignment and effective follow-up in collaboration with relevant colleagues in the Partnership Policy and Fundraising unit
Monitor international processes and forums relevant to NORCAPs mandate ensuring timely preparation and appropriate representation by senior leadership.
Responsible for oversight of departmental initiatives and management processes including progress tracking through NORCAPs tools and systems.
Any other tasks as delegated by the line manager.
QualificationsMasters degree in political science administration organisational development social studies or international relations
7 years of relevant experience preferably in the humanitarian development sector and peacebuilding sector m including experience from multilateral organisations or NGOs.
Documented results related to the positions responsibilities
Strong analytical skills and strategic thinking with the ability to translate insights into actionable advice and plans. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with experience engaging effectively across senior leadership technical teams and external partners. The ability to work independently and proactively identify and solve problems.
High degree of flexibility and service attitude with the ability to quickly change agenda and focus in order to handle ad hoc situations and tasks.
Field and/or headquarters experience in humanitarian or development settings is an asset.
Fluency in English and Norwegian both written and verbal
