Key Responsibilities:

Drive Military Student Recruitment Outreach and Access

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for prospective and current students at Mountain Home Air Force Base.
  • Deliver admissions presentations and provide guidance on applications FAFSA placement exams and enrollment processes.
  • Build strong relationships with local high schools military leadership and community partners in the Mountain Home and Magic Valley region.
  • Support awareness of CWI programs including DANTES testing CCAF AAS degrees and Air Force Tuition Assistance benefits.

Support Student Success Retention and Engagement

  • Provide academic advising for CWI programs offered on base and assist students with course registration.
  • Develop and lead student programming orientation and engagement activities tailored to military-connected students.
  • Foster a supportive student-centered environment through intentional relationship-building and community creation.
  • Identify student needs and connect them with appropriate academic and community resources.

Build Internal Collaboration and Institutional Capacity

  • Partner with enrollment management advising One Stop dual credit and other departments to strengthen support for military students.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with faculty staff and internal stakeholders across the college.
  • Lead efforts to increase campus awareness of military culture and student needs.
  • Participate in committees professional meetings and institutional initiatives.

Ensure Compliance Reporting and Operational Excellence

  • Maintain accurate student records files and documentation.
  • Track analyze and report data related to recruitment enrollment retention and persistence of military student populations.
  • Stay current on relevant federal state and institutional policies regulations and procedures.
  • Uphold professional standards and codes of ethics (IACRAO AACRAO PNACAC) while helping students understand how policies impact them.

Minimum Qualifications:

Associates Degree
At least three years of experience in student services or related experience
Strong cross-cultural interpersonal and writing skills are necessary including public speaking skills and the ability to represent the college in a positive way to diverse populations
Strong technical abilities: database systems presentation software Microsoft Office suites or equivalent
Strong event planning/coordination skills
Ability to interpret follow and administer academic and administrative policy
Ability to function independently and work collaboratively with institutional partners
Ability to travel between various locations throughout the day
Additional Instructions for Applicants:

* This position is in Mountain Home in the CWI office on the Airforce Base

**Most positions at CWI are in-person and based on campus. While some roles may allow up to two remote workdays per week eligibility for remote work is determined on a case-by-case basis at the hiring managers discretion. All candidates must reside within or be willing to relocate to a reasonable commuting distance from CWI. Employment visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
