The role requires someone who pays meticulous attention to detail has energy enthusiasm a calm manner the ability to prioritise a flexible working approach and able to cope with conflicting demands and interruptions in order to meet internally and externally imposed deadlines. S/he will be approachable have sound people skills strong written and verbal communication together with a can do attitude.
The role can be offered on a full-time or part time hours to accommodate the right candidate this is on a term time only basis.
Main duties:
- Providing overall administration support to the Special Educational Needs Team.
- Planning of all Annual Review documentation ensuring deadlines are met.
- Typing and distributing EHCP reviews and documentation.
- Typing correspondence to parents agencies professionals staff and any internal correspondence under the direction of the SENCO team
- To collate input and assess a range of data required to update the SEN Records
- To develop and manage the SEN filing system (including emails record of telephone conversations) the archiving retrieval and disposing of SEN information as appropriate
- Liaising with primary/feeder schools and external service ensuring that all SEN information is received
- To produce all letters and reports as required including individual letters to parents arrange meetings take minutes respond to telephone calls and messages etc. for the SENCO
- To attend meeting and take minutes as and when necessary
- Liaise with the Examination Officer on Special Examination Arrangement Applications
