Position: Assistant Girls Hockey Coach
Location: Albert Lea High School
Start Date: Winter 202526 Season
Compensation: $4153.33 (Schedule C)

Albert Lea Area Schools is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Girls Hockey Coach to support our program and help develop student-athletes both on and off the ice. We are looking for a team-oriented coach who values skill development sportsmanship and a positive team culture.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

Assist the Head Coach in planning and conducting practices games and team activities.
Support individual player development emphasizing fundamentals teamwork and accountability.
Help manage equipment game preparation and logistics.
Foster a positive and inclusive environment that promotes student growth and academic success.
Communicate effectively with athletes parents and school staff.
Serve as a positive role model representing Albert Lea Activities and the community.

Qualifications:

Coaching and/or playing experience in hockey required.
Strong leadership communication and collaboration skills.
Knowledge of hockey strategy fundamentals and player safety.
CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
Must meet MSHSL and Albert Lea Area Schools coaching requirements.
