Job Summary

Position Responsibilities:

  • Deliver the monthly production of local statutory reserve daily solvency estimate and able to explain the key drivers from market fluctuation.

  • Handle the regular capital submissions and related analysis (e.g. Local capital Plan Financial Condition Testing and Target capital setting).

  • Review the model run results and produce the RBC results and related analysis for quarterly estimate and the annual ORSA report.

  • Support the implementation and go-live of HKRBC including the model enhancement system development and revamp of downstream processes to fulfill the Pillar 3 regulatory requirement

  • Review and assess the reasonableness of the modeling approach for market consistent risk-neutral valuation including dividend declaration and stochastic modeling.

  • Support on the documentation of the RBC methodologies and approaches and ensure compliance to regulatory requirement.

Required Qualifications:

  • Degree holder with professional actuarial qualifications such as ASA FSA FIA or equivalent.

  • Minimum 8 years of relevant working experience in insurance industry.

  • Solid actuarial knowledge and experience in valuation and financial reporting.

  • Experience in Solvency II or HKRBC related work is a plus

  • Strong technical/modeling skills knowledge or experience in AXIS Python and VBA is an asset.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to work with complex financial issues and concepts.

  • Attention to detail.

  • Good communication interpersonal and coaching skills.

  • Always demonstrate initiatives and commitment and able to work independently.

  • Able to manage multiple and conflicting requests from various parties.

  • Effective command of English both spoken and written.
