The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

Perform various welding processes (MIG TIG Stick) according to specifications.
Read and interpret blueprints schematics and welding symbols.
Set up operate and maintain welding equipment and tools.
Inspect finished welds for quality accuracy and adherence to engineering standards.
Fabricate assemble and repair metal structures and components.
Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and procedures including wearing appropriate PPE.
Grind deburr and finish welds to meet aesthetic and functional requirements.

Recommended Qualifications

Proficiency in multiple welding processes (e.g. MIG TIG Stick/SMAW).
Ability to read and interpret blueprints schematics and welding symbols.
Demonstrated knowledge of welding safety protocols and procedures.
Relevant welding certifications (e.g. AWS D1.1 ASME Section IX) or equivalent demonstrable skill.
Physical dexterity hand-eye coordination and stamina to perform welding tasks for extended periods.
Experience working with various metals (e.g. carbon steel stainless steel aluminum) and gauges.

Bonus Qualifications

Experience with diverse welding processes (e.g. TIG Flux-cored) or materials (e.g. aluminum stainless steel).
Proficiency in fabrication and fitting techniques.
Forklift or overhead crane certification.
Ability to interpret complex blueprints and schematics.
