Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop new tooling fixtures and jigs to support manufacturing processes.
• Analyze and troubleshoot tooling failures implementing corrective actions to minimize downtime.
• Manage and optimize tooling maintenance schedules and repair procedures.
• Collaborate with production design and quality teams to ensure tooling meets product specifications and production requirements.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives for tooling design materials and manufacturing processes.
• Specify and procure tooling materials and components ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.
• Conduct root cause analysis for tooling-related defects and implement preventative measures.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering Manufacturing Engineering or a related field.
• Proficiency in CAD/CAM software for tooling design simulation and analysis.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes such as injection molding stamping machining or casting.
• Proven experience in designing developing and optimizing various production tooling (molds dies jigs fixtures).
• Ability to diagnose tooling issues perform root cause analysis and drive continuous improvement.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) or mold flow simulation software.
• Familiarity with additive manufacturing (3D printing) processes for tooling components or prototypes.
• Certification in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
• Knowledge of specialized tooling materials such as advanced ceramics carbides or superalloys.
