Key Responsibilities

• Design develop and optimize manufacturing tools dies jigs and fixtures.
• Conduct root cause analysis for tooling failures and implement corrective actions.
• Manage the maintenance repair and calibration of production tooling assets.
• Collaborate with production and design teams to improve tooling performance and manufacturability.
• Evaluate and specify appropriate tooling materials and manufacturing processes.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive tooling documentation and specifications.
• Support new product introduction by ensuring tooling readiness and capability.

Recommended Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in tooling design development and manufacturing.
• Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g. SolidWorks AutoCAD CATIA) for tool design and analysis.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes such as injection molding stamping machining or casting.
• Expertise in material selection (metals plastics composites) and heat treatment relevant to tooling.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot diagnose and resolve tooling performance and quality issues.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with advanced simulation software (e.g. FEA mold flow analysis)
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
• Proficiency with ERP systems for tooling lifecycle management
• Direct experience managing external tooling suppliers and vendors
