Key Responsibilities
- Install calibrate and maintain industrial robots and robotic systems on the production floor.
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on robotic equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose complex electrical mechanical and software issues in robotic cells.
- Modify and optimize robot programs (e.g. path adjustments I/O configurations) to improve production efficiency and quality.
- Conduct routine inspections and safety checks on all robotic systems to ensure compliance with standards.
- Collaborate with engineers and production personnel to integrate new robotic solutions and improve existing processes.
- Document all maintenance activities repairs and system changes accurately for record-keeping and analysis.
Recommended Qualifications
- Associate's degree or technical certification in Robotics Mechatronics or a related engineering discipline.
- Proven experience in programming troubleshooting and maintaining industrial robots (e.g. FANUC KUKA ABB) in a manufacturing setting.
- Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills including PLCs motors sensors and control systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical schematics blueprints and wiring diagrams.
- Adherence to safety protocols and procedures for industrial machinery and robotic systems.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with industrial vision systems (e.g. Cognex Keyence).
- Proficiency in industrial networking protocols (e.g. Ethernet/IP Profinet).
- Familiarity with CAD or robot simulation software (e.g. SolidWorks RobotStudio).
- Basic programming skills in Python or C.
- Certification from a major robot manufacturer (e.g. Fanuc KUKA ABB).
