Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement strategic purchasing initiatives to optimize cost quality and delivery performance.
Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers to secure favorable terms pricing and service levels.
Evaluate select and onboard new suppliers while fostering strong collaborative relationships with existing vendors.
Collaborate with production engineering and quality teams to ensure timely availability and quality of raw materials and components.
Monitor market trends supplier performance and material costs to identify opportunities for improvement and risk mitigation.
Manage inventory levels to prevent stockouts and minimize carrying costs aligning with production schedules.
Lead mentor and develop the purchasing team fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.

Recommended Qualifications

Proven experience in purchasing and supply chain management within a manufacturing environment.
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management Business Administration or a related field.
Strong negotiation and vendor relationship management skills.
Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems for procurement processes.
Demonstrated ability to develop and implement cost-saving purchasing strategies.
In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes and raw material sourcing.

Bonus Qualifications

Certification in purchasing or supply chain management (e.g. CPSM CSCP).
Experience with international sourcing logistics and customs compliance.
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
Proven track record in supply chain risk management or business continuity planning.
