Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement strategic purchasing plans and policies to support manufacturing operations.
Source evaluate and negotiate with suppliers to secure competitive pricing favorable terms and high-quality materials.
Manage supplier relationships and performance ensuring adherence to quality standards delivery schedules and cost targets.
Collaborate with production planning and engineering teams to optimize inventory levels and ensure timely material availability.
Identify and implement cost reduction initiatives and process improvements within the purchasing function.

Mitigate supply chain risks including material shortages price fluctuations and quality issues.

Recommended Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management Business Administration or a related engineering field.
5 years of progressive experience in purchasing with at least 2 years in a management role within a manufacturing setting.
Proven expertise in strategic sourcing vendor negotiation and contract management for raw materials and components.
Strong proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and advanced analytical skills for cost optimization and inventory control.
Demonstrated ability to lead mentor and develop a high-performing purchasing team.

Bonus Qualifications

Experience with advanced e-procurement platforms (e.g. SAP Ariba Coupa).
Certification or practical experience with Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
Proven experience in international sourcing and global supply chain logistics.
Proficiency with data analysis and visualization tools (e.g. Power BI Tableau) for spend analysis.
