The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement purchasing strategies to support production schedules and optimize costs.
Source evaluate and qualify new suppliers while managing existing vendor relationships and performance.
Negotiate contracts terms and pricing with suppliers to achieve favorable agreements and secure supply.
Ensure the timely procurement and delivery of raw materials components and MRO items to prevent production delays.
Monitor supplier performance address quality issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Identify and implement cost reduction opportunities without compromising quality or supply chain integrity.
Manage inventory levels effectively to balance supply with demand minimizing carrying costs and obsolescence.

Recommended Qualifications

5 years of progressive experience in purchasing or procurement with at least 2 years in a management role within a manufacturing environment.
Demonstrated expertise in strategic sourcing supplier negotiation contract management and inventory optimization.
Strong knowledge of ERP systems (e.g. SAP Oracle) and proficiency in supply chain management principles and best practices.
Proven ability to drive cost savings mitigate risks and develop robust supplier relationships.
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management Business Administration Engineering or a related field.

Bonus Qualifications

Advanced proficiency with ERP/MRP systems particularly SAP or Oracle.
Certification in Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt or higher).
Experience with global sourcing strategies and international trade compliance.
Proficiency in data analytics and Business Intelligence (BI) tools (e.g. Power BI Tableau).
