Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement purchasing strategies policies and procedures.
Source evaluate and manage relationships with key suppliers and vendors.
Negotiate favorable terms pricing and contracts for raw materials components and services.
Monitor and manage inventory levels to optimize stock and support production schedules.
Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives and efficiency improvements in the procurement process.
Ensure the timely acquisition of materials to prevent production delays.
Mitigate supply chain risks and ensure continuity of supply for critical items.
Lead mentor and develop the purchasing team.

Recommended Qualifications

5 years of progressive purchasing or supply chain management experience ideally within a manufacturing environment.
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management Business Administration or a related field.
Proven expertise in vendor negotiation contract management and strategic sourcing.
Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g. SAP Oracle) for procurement and inventory management.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes quality standards and lean principles.

Bonus Qualifications

Advanced proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g. SAP Oracle) for supply chain optimization.
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
Experience with international sourcing and global supply chain management.
Proficiency in data analytics tools (e.g. Power BI Tableau) for spend analysis and forecasting.
