Key Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to meet output targets.
Manage train and evaluate production staff ensuring proper staffing levels.
Monitor product quality and ensure adherence to manufacturing standards and specifications.
Enforce safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
Troubleshoot production issues and resolve equipment malfunctions to minimize downtime.
Track production metrics and generate performance reports for management.

Recommended Qualifications

3-5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a technical or business-related field preferred.
Proven leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop a production team.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes production planning and quality control principles (e.g. Lean Six Sigma).
Knowledge of safety regulations (e.g. OSHA) and quality management systems (e.g. ISO).
Excellent problem-solving decision-making and communication skills.

Bonus Qualifications

Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
Proficiency with manufacturing ERP systems (e.g. SAP Oracle NetSuite).
Advanced safety certifications (e.g. OSHA 30-hour).
Experience working in a unionized manufacturing environment.
