Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement strategies for material planning procurement inventory control and warehousing.
Manage and optimize inventory levels to ensure material availability while minimizing carrying costs.
Oversee the procurement process including supplier selection negotiation and performance management.
Collaborate with production planning and operations to ensure timely material flow and support production schedules.
Implement and maintain robust inventory accuracy processes including cycle counting and discrepancy resolution.
Analyze material usage forecast demand and identify potential supply risks or opportunities.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives in materials management processes and systems.

Recommended Qualifications

Minimum 5-7 years of progressive experience in materials management supply chain or procurement within a manufacturing environment.
Demonstrated proficiency with ERP/MRP systems for planning scheduling and inventory control.
Expertise in inventory control optimization strategies and demand forecasting.
Strong leadership negotiation and communication skills with a proven ability to manage teams and supplier relationships.
Solid understanding of manufacturing processes production planning and lean methodologies.
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management Business Administration Engineering or a related field.

Bonus Qualifications

APICS CPIM or CSCP certification.
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
Experience with advanced planning and scheduling (APS) software.
Proficiency in data analytics tools (e.g. Power BI Tableau) for supply chain optimization.
