Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement materials management strategies to optimize efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Oversee inventory control ensuring optimal stock levels to meet production needs while minimizing waste.
- Manage supplier relationships negotiate contracts and ensure timely delivery of high-quality materials.
- Coordinate demand forecasting and collaborate with production planning to align material availability.
- Direct inbound and outbound logistics warehousing and material handling operations.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives for materials processes and systems.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards safety regulations and company policies.
Recommended Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management Business Administration Engineering or a related field.
- 5 years of progressive experience in materials management supply chain or procurement within a manufacturing environment.
- Proven expertise with ERP/MRP systems (e.g. SAP Oracle) for inventory control planning and scheduling.
- Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles JIT and inventory optimization strategies.
- Demonstrated leadership ability to manage and develop a team coupled with excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting to drive informed decision-making and continuous improvement.
Bonus Qualifications
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
- APICS CSCP or CPIM certification
- Experience with advanced data analytics and visualization tools (e.g. Power BI Tableau)
- Proven track record in successful ERP system implementation or optimization projects
