Key Responsibilities

Manage and optimize inventory levels to meet production demands while minimizing carrying costs.
Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans for raw materials and components ensuring cost-effective procurement.
Oversee supplier relationships performance and contract negotiations to ensure quality delivery and compliance.
Coordinate with production planning and scheduling to ensure timely material availability preventing stockouts and delays.
Manage inbound logistics warehousing and material handling operations for efficient material flow.
Analyze material usage forecasts and market trends to mitigate supply chain risks and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Implement and continuously improve materials management processes and systems for enhanced efficiency.

Recommended Qualifications

5-7 years of progressive experience in materials management or supply chain leadership within a manufacturing environment.
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management Business Administration Engineering or a related field.
Demonstrated proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g. SAP Oracle) for inventory planning and control.
Strong analytical forecasting and data-driven problem-solving skills for inventory optimization.
Proven ability to lead and develop a team coupled with excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.

Bonus Qualifications

Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
Proven experience with advanced data analytics and visualization tools (e.g. Power BI Tableau).
Familiarity with global supply chain management and international logistics.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
Advanced proficiency in specific ERP modules (e.g. SAP MM Oracle SCM).
