Key Responsibilities
- Install maintain and repair electrical systems wiring and equipment in a manufacturing environment.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical malfunctions in machinery control systems and facility infrastructure.
- Perform preventative maintenance on electrical components to ensure optimal operation and minimize downtime.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics blueprints and technical manuals for installation and repair.
- Ensure all electrical work adheres to safety codes (e.g. NEC OSHA) and company regulations.
- Calibrate and test electrical instruments sensors and control devices.
- Document all maintenance repair and installation activities accurately.
Recommended Qualifications
- Journeyman Electrician certification or equivalent provincial/state license.
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience in industrial electrical maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in troubleshooting repairing and installing PLCs motor controls VFDs and other industrial electrical equipment.
- Strong ability to read and interpret electrical schematics blueprints and technical manuals.
- Comprehensive understanding and adherence to safety standards including LOTO procedures and NFPA 70E.
- Experience with electrical preventative maintenance programs and calibration of instrumentation.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with PLC programming and modification (beyond troubleshooting)
- Familiarity with industrial robotics or vision systems
- Certification in NFPA 70E / Arc Flash safety
- Proficiency in troubleshooting industrial network protocols (e.g. Ethernet/IP Profinet)
