The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

Install maintain and repair electrical systems wiring and equipment in a manufacturing environment.
Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical malfunctions in machinery control systems and facility infrastructure.
Perform preventative maintenance on electrical components to ensure optimal operation and minimize downtime.
Read and interpret electrical schematics blueprints and technical manuals for installation and repair.
Ensure all electrical work adheres to safety codes (e.g. NEC OSHA) and company regulations.
Calibrate and test electrical instruments sensors and control devices.
Document all maintenance repair and installation activities accurately.

Recommended Qualifications

Journeyman Electrician certification or equivalent provincial/state license.
3-5 years of hands-on experience in industrial electrical maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
Proficient in troubleshooting repairing and installing PLCs motor controls VFDs and other industrial electrical equipment.
Strong ability to read and interpret electrical schematics blueprints and technical manuals.
Comprehensive understanding and adherence to safety standards including LOTO procedures and NFPA 70E.
Experience with electrical preventative maintenance programs and calibration of instrumentation.

Bonus Qualifications

Experience with PLC programming and modification (beyond troubleshooting)
Familiarity with industrial robotics or vision systems
Certification in NFPA 70E / Arc Flash safety
Proficiency in troubleshooting industrial network protocols (e.g. Ethernet/IP Profinet)
