Key Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle recruitment and onboarding for production technical and administrative roles.
- Oversee employee relations conflict resolution and disciplinary processes in a plant environment.
- Develop and implement HR policies ensuring compliance with labor laws safety regulations and company standards.
- Administer compensation benefits and performance management programs for manufacturing staff.
- Coordinate and facilitate employee training and development initiatives including safety and operational skills.
- Drive initiatives for employee engagement retention and fostering a positive plant culture.
- Support workforce planning and succession planning for key roles within manufacturing operations.
Recommended Qualifications
- Experience managing HR functions within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Proven ability in talent acquisition for production skilled trades and technical roles.
- Strong knowledge of labor laws OSHA regulations and safety compliance.
- Demonstrated experience in employee relations and performance management for a diverse workforce including hourly employees.
- Experience with union relations and collective bargaining agreements or managing non-union workforces effectively.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience managing HR in a unionized manufacturing environment.
- Certification in Lean Six Sigma or other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Direct experience with OSHA compliance and workplace safety programs.
- Proficiency with HR analytics and workforce planning tools.
- Bilingual proficiency (e.g. Spanish) to support a diverse workforce.
