Key Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle recruitment onboarding and retention strategies for manufacturing personnel.
• Oversee employee relations including conflict resolution disciplinary actions and grievance handling.
• Develop implement and ensure compliance with HR policies labor laws and safety regulations (e.g. OSHA).
• Administer compensation benefits and payroll processes for both hourly and salaried employees.
• Coordinate and facilitate essential training and development programs with a strong emphasis on workplace safety.
• Partner with operations management to address workforce planning productivity and employee engagement initiatives.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience as an HR Manager or Senior HR Generalist within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of labor relations including experience with union environments or proactive employee relations strategies.
• In-depth understanding of employment law safety regulations (OSHA) and workers' compensation in a production setting.
• Demonstrated ability in talent acquisition onboarding and retention strategies for a diverse manufacturing workforce.
• Proficiency with HRIS systems and data analytics to support HR operations and strategic decision-making.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport across all levels of the organization from shop floor to management.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with labor relations or managing a unionized workforce.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles (e.g. Kaizen 5S) and their HR implications.
• Proficiency in HRIS and timekeeping systems specifically designed for shift-based or production environments.
• Bilingual proficiency (e.g. Spanish) to effectively communicate with a diverse manufacturing workforce.
