The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Recruit onboard and retain skilled production technical and engineering staff.
• Manage employee relations including grievance resolution disciplinary actions and conflict management in a plant environment.
• Ensure strict compliance with all federal state and local labor laws as well as OSHA regulations and plant safety protocols.
• Develop and implement training programs focused on safety technical skills enhancement and leadership development for supervisors.
• Administer competitive compensation and benefits programs tailored to the manufacturing sector.
• Drive performance management processes linking individual and team goals to manufacturing productivity and quality targets.
• Partner with operations leadership to develop and execute workforce planning strategies to meet production demands.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience as an HR Manager specifically within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of labor relations including experience with collective bargaining and unionized workforces.
• Expertise in EHS (Environmental Health and Safety) regulations and compliance relevant to manufacturing operations.
• Demonstrated success in talent acquisition development and retention strategies for skilled production and technical roles.
• Proficiency with HRIS systems and data analytics to drive HR insights and decision-making.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
• Proven experience in labor relations or unionized environments.
• Certifications in relevant safety programs (e.g. OSHA 30-hour General Industry).
• Proficiency with HRIS modules specific to manufacturing (e.g. advanced time & attendance shift scheduling).
