Key Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle recruitment and onboarding for production technical and administrative roles within the plant.
- Administer HR policies and procedures ensuring compliance with labor laws and company regulations specific to a manufacturing environment.
- Handle employee relations issues including conflict resolution disciplinary actions and grievance handling for the plant workforce.
- Coordinate and track mandatory safety training programs and support plant safety initiatives to maintain a safe working environment.
- Support performance management processes including performance reviews goal setting and development plans for manufacturing employees.
- Process payroll inputs administer benefits and manage leave of absence requests (e.g. FMLA STD) for the factory staff.
- Maintain accurate HR records and utilize HRIS for reporting and data management specific to plant operations.
Recommended Qualifications
- Experience as an HR Generalist within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of federal and state employment laws including OSHA regulations.
- Proficiency in HRIS platforms and core HR functions such as recruitment employee relations and benefits administration.
- Strong communication problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field.
Bonus Qualifications
- Bilingual proficiency (e.g. Spanish)
- Experience in a unionized manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles or Six Sigma methodologies
- Knowledge of OSHA compliance specific to manufacturing operations
