The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

Conduct detailed cost analysis of manufacturing operations including COGS labor and overhead.
Develop and manage annual budgets and financial forecasts for production facilities.
Perform variance analysis explaining deviations from budget related to production volumes material and labor costs.
Prepare financial reports and dashboards on plant performance profitability and key manufacturing KPIs.
Evaluate capital expenditure requests (CAPEX) for new equipment and facility improvements assessing ROI.
Analyze inventory levels valuation and obsolescence to optimize working capital.
Support operational teams by providing financial insights to drive cost reduction and efficiency initiatives.

Recommended Qualifications

Proficiency in cost accounting principles and variance analysis specific to manufacturing.
Strong financial modeling budgeting and forecasting skills.
Experience with ERP systems (e.g. SAP Oracle) in a manufacturing environment.
Advanced Excel skills including complex formulas pivot tables and data visualization.
Ability to analyze operational data and translate it into actionable financial insights.

Bonus Qualifications

Understanding of manufacturing cost accounting principles (e.g. standard costing variance analysis).
Experience with ERP systems commonly used in manufacturing environments (e.g. SAP Oracle Infor).
Familiarity with lean manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI Tableau) for operational reporting.
CMA (Certified Management Accountant) designation or progress towards.
