The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

Analyze production costs variances and profitability drivers for manufacturing operations.
Develop and maintain financial models for budgeting forecasting and long-range planning.
Prepare detailed financial reports including actual vs. budget performance and key manufacturing KPIs.
Conduct in-depth variance analysis on COGS labor and overhead identifying trends and recommending corrective actions.
Evaluate capital expenditure projects performing ROI and payback period analysis for new equipment and expansions.
Support inventory valuation obsolescence analysis and cost accounting functions specific to manufacturing.
Collaborate with operations teams to understand cost drivers and optimize production efficiency.

Recommended Qualifications

Proficiency in financial modeling budgeting forecasting and variance analysis.
Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and manufacturing KPIs.
Experience with ERP systems (e.g. SAP Oracle) in a manufacturing environment.
Advanced Excel skills and experience with data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI Tableau).
Ability to analyze complex operational and financial data to drive business insights.

Bonus Qualifications

Experience with a major ERP system (e.g. SAP Oracle) in a manufacturing context.
Demonstrated understanding of cost accounting principles and variance analysis in a production environment.
Familiarity with manufacturing KPIs (e.g. OEE yield scrap rates) and their financial impact.
Exposure to Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
Proficiency with data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau Power BI) for operational and financial reporting.
