Key Responsibilities

Lead mentor and develop a team of manufacturing engineers and technicians.
Oversee the planning and execution of engineering projects including new product introduction and process improvements.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize manufacturing processes reduce costs and enhance quality.
Manage departmental budgets resource allocation and capital expenditure requests.
Collaborate cross-functionally with production quality and supply chain to achieve operational excellence.
Ensure all engineering activities comply with safety regulations quality standards and company policies.
Provide technical guidance and strategic direction for automation tooling and equipment development.

Recommended Qualifications

Strong technical background in manufacturing engineering disciplines (e.g. mechanical electrical industrial process).
Proven experience leading mentoring and developing engineering teams in a production environment.
In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes lean methodologies and continuous improvement principles.
Demonstrated ability to manage complex engineering projects from concept to successful completion.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on operational efficiency and innovation.

Bonus Qualifications

Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification
Experience with advanced automation robotics or Industry 4.0 initiatives
PMP or other formal project management certification
Proficiency with advanced engineering simulation software (e.g. FEA CFD)
Demonstrated experience with New Product Introduction (NPI) in a manufacturing environment
