The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

Lead mentor and develop a team of manufacturing engineers and technicians.
Oversee the planning execution and successful completion of engineering projects for production processes.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize manufacturing efficiency reduce costs and enhance product quality.
Ensure the development and adherence to robust engineering standards procedures and documentation.
Collaborate cross-functionally with production quality and supply chain teams to resolve technical issues and support operational goals.
Manage the engineering department budget resources and capital expenditure requests.
Identify and implement new technologies and automation solutions to improve manufacturing capabilities.

Recommended Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Electrical Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering.
Minimum of 7 years of progressive engineering experience in a manufacturing environment with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role.
Proven expertise in lean manufacturing principles Six Sigma methodologies and continuous improvement initiatives.
Demonstrated success in managing complex engineering projects from conception to completion including scope budget and timeline.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes automation technologies and quality systems relevant to the industry.

Bonus Qualifications

Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification.
Experience with advanced manufacturing technologies (e.g. automation robotics additive manufacturing).
Familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP) or manufacturing execution systems (MES).
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
Experience in New Product Introduction (NPI) processes within a manufacturing context.
