Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with all federal state and local EHS regulations and company policies.
• Develop implement and maintain EHS programs policies and procedures relevant to manufacturing operations.
• Conduct regular EHS inspections audits and risk assessments to identify hazards and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Lead incident investigations root cause analysis and implement preventative measures to reduce recurrence.
• Provide comprehensive EHS training to employees at all levels including new hire orientation and specialized topics.
• Manage hazardous waste disposal chemical handling and emergency response plans.
• Promote a strong EHS culture through employee engagement communication and continuous improvement initiatives.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety Engineering or a related scientific field.
• 5 years of progressive EHS experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Demonstrated expertise in OSHA EPA and other relevant federal state and local EHS regulations.
• Proven ability to develop implement and manage EHS programs and management systems (e.g. ISO 14001 ISO 45001).
• Strong leadership communication and training skills with a track record of fostering a proactive safety culture.

Bonus Qualifications

• Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) or Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM) certification.
• Master's degree in Occupational Health & Safety Environmental Science or a related field.
• Lean / Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
• Bilingual proficiency (e.g. Spanish) to effectively communicate with a diverse workforce.
