Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop new products components and systems based on project requirements.
• Create detailed 3D CAD models and 2D engineering drawings for manufacturing processes.
• Apply Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles to optimize designs.
• Conduct engineering analysis and calculations to validate design performance and integrity.
• Collaborate with manufacturing production and quality teams to ensure seamless product realization.
• Support prototyping testing and validation activities incorporating feedback into design iterations.
• Generate and maintain comprehensive technical documentation including Bills of Material (BOMs) and specifications.
• Investigate and resolve design-related issues implementing corrective and preventive actions.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering Manufacturing Engineering or a closely related field.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks Inventor CATIA) for part and assembly design.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g. machining injection molding welding sheet metal) and Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles.
• Experience with material selection stress analysis and product validation methods.
• Ability to create detailed engineering drawings specifications and Bills of Material (BOMs) to industry standards.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles or Six Sigma methodologies.
• Hands-on prototyping fabrication or assembly experience.
• Familiarity with specific manufacturing processes (e.g. injection molding welding CNC machining).
• Proficiency in advanced simulation tools (e.g. CFD Topology Optimization).
