Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain standard costs for raw materials labor and manufacturing overhead.
• Analyze manufacturing variances (material labor and overhead) and provide detailed explanations.
• Perform inventory valuation reconciliation and obsolescence analysis.
• Prepare comprehensive cost reports and profitability analyses for management review.
• Assist in the preparation of the annual manufacturing budget and cost forecasts.
• Support month-end close activities related to cost of goods sold and inventory.
• Identify and recommend cost reduction opportunities and efficiency improvements within production processes.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 3-5 years of progressive cost accounting experience preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g. SAP Oracle) and advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Strong understanding of GAAP standard costing variance analysis and inventory valuation.
• Demonstrated analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with advanced cost accounting functionalities within major ERP systems (e.g. SAP CO-PC Oracle Cost Management)
• Proficiency with data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI Tableau) for cost analysis and reporting
• Understanding of Lean manufacturing principles or Six Sigma methodologies
• Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation or actively pursuing
