The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain standard costs for materials labor and overhead.
• Analyze manufacturing costs variances and profitability reports.
• Perform detailed variance analysis investigating differences between actual and standard costs.
• Manage inventory valuation including raw materials WIP and finished goods.
• Support the annual budget process by providing cost data and analysis.
• Contribute to cost reduction initiatives and process improvement projects.
• Prepare regular cost reports for management to aid decision-making.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting Finance or a related field.
• 3 years of progressive cost accounting experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g. SAP Oracle) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Deep understanding of cost accounting principles including standard costing variance analysis and inventory valuation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with major ERP systems (e.g. SAP Oracle Microsoft Dynamics) in a manufacturing environment.
• Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles or Six Sigma methodologies.
• Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI Tableau) or advanced Excel modeling.
• Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation.
