Key Responsibilities

Develop validate and optimize CMM inspection programs from CAD models and engineering drawings.
Interpret complex GD&T specifications and translate them into CMM measurement routines.
Set up and operate CMM equipment to perform precise dimensional inspections of manufactured parts.
Analyze measurement data identify non-conformances and generate comprehensive inspection reports.
Troubleshoot CMM program errors and measurement discrepancies implementing corrective actions.
Collaborate with design manufacturing and quality teams to resolve measurement challenges and improve product quality.
Maintain CMM equipment and ensure calibration schedules are met for accuracy and reliability.

Recommended Qualifications

Proficiency in CMM programming software (e.g. PC-DMIS Calypso MCOSMOS).
Strong understanding and application of GD&T principles.
Ability to read and interpret complex engineering blueprints and specifications.
Hands-on experience operating and troubleshooting CMM equipment.
Knowledge of metrology principles and measurement best practices.

Bonus Qualifications

GD&T Certification (e.g. ASME Y14.5)
Experience with multiple CMM software platforms (e.g. PC-DMIS Calypso MCOSMOS)
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks CATIA Inventor)
Experience with other metrology equipment (e.g. vision systems laser scanners optical comparators)
