Key Responsibilities

• Source evaluate and select qualified suppliers for raw materials components and MRO items.
• Negotiate favorable terms prices and contracts with suppliers to achieve cost efficiencies.
• Create issue and manage purchase orders to ensure timely delivery of materials.
• Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with production to optimize material availability.
• Identify and mitigate supply chain risks including lead time quality and single-source dependencies.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives for cost reduction and supply chain efficiency.
• Ensure purchased materials meet quality specifications and regulatory compliance.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience in direct material procurement within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g. SAP Oracle Microsoft Dynamics) for purchasing and inventory management.
• Demonstrated strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Solid understanding of supply chain principles inventory control and logistics.

Bonus Qualifications

• Certification in supply chain management (e.g. CSCP CPIM).
• Experience applying Lean manufacturing principles or Six Sigma methodologies.
• Advanced proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g. SAP Oracle) for strategic sourcing.
• Familiarity with international sourcing logistics and customs regulations.
