  • Qualifications Accreditation Training:
    • 20 years of relevant experience including project management.
  • Systems Processes & Tools:
    • Expert in systems processes and tools related to project delivery. May contribute to the development of new systems and processes.
  • Full project execution experience (Engineering through to Construction and Commissioning) as well as cross functional exposure and experience.

Purpose:

The head of Project Services is responsible for planning and directing project services activities policies objectives and initiatives for a region and/or sub-location. This role drives strategic alignment cultural transformation and organizational excellence in project execution ensuring synergy between people processes and tools. The role cultivates commitment to change especially when bold shifts are needed to realize Worleys vision and is accountable for building a competitively superior organization by attracting developing and retaining top talent.

Project Services is evolving to increase automation reduce project hours and upskill talent to meet the demands of Mega Project EPC delivery. Regional leadership is shifting from single-office management to multi-office coverage promoting efficiency and reducing overhead. The integration of India and LATAM GID will accelerate capability development and standardization.

Responsibilities:

  • Customer/Stakeholder Advocacy:
    • Acts as a champion for customer and stakeholder needs ensuring alignment and consistency across regions.
    • Strategic Leadership: Guides the strategic development business planning and goal setting for Project Services aligning with global policies and adapting them regionally.
  • Global Alignment and Consistency:
    • Governance & Compliance: Ensures regional offices adopt global policies with liaisons in each functional group and regular audits to monitor project setup and compliance.
    • Process Management: Drives process alignment and automation leveraging digital tools to increase efficiency and reduce project hours.
  • Business and Project Performance:
    • Operational Excellence: Oversees staff performance development plans and measures regional project performance.
    • Talent & Knowledge Flow: Leads talent development ensuring upskilling to meet Mega Project EPC standards and fosters knowledge sharing through digital delivery and SME-led training.
  • One-networked team:
    • Promotes collaboration and resource sharing across hubs and offices reducing overhead and maximizing talent utilization.
  • Decision Making:
    • Develops and oversees implementation of strategic programs and policies with significant organizational impact. Manages multiple complex project issues and works with executive management on global strategies.
  • Supervision Received:
    • Operates at a regional leadership level with minimal direct supervision receiving only broad strategic direction aligned with the organizations vision and objectives. The role is fully accountable for setting regional priorities making critical decisions and driving initiatives that have a significant impact on business outcomes across multiple locations. Accountability is demonstrated through the achievement of key performance indicators (KPIs) delivery of regional strategic goals and the overall success of the business area. Regular interaction with executive leadership is focused on alignment progress reporting and results rather than day-to-day oversight. The incumbent is expected to proactively identify opportunities address challenges and ensure that all actions and outcomes are aligned with both organizational and regional priorities and standards.

    • Operates with broad management authority typically with both direct and indirect reports. Responsible for staff selection training and remuneration.
