Our ideal candidate will have:

• Extensive experience in corporate legal and governance (funds management/REITs preferred)

• Strong commercial acumen and judgement

• Law degree and current practising certificate

• Proven leadership and stakeholder management skills

About the Role

Reporting to the Chief Legal & Commercial Officer this Permanent Full-Time role is pivotal in shaping the companys direction providing high-level advice to the Board and Executive and ensuring Cromwells legal and governance frameworks support our growth and compliance objectives.

Key Strategic Responsibilities:

• Advise the Board and Executive Leadership on complex corporate legal and governance matters influencing key business decisions and risk management.

• Lead and develop the legal team and company secretary fostering a high-performance collaborative culture aligned with Cromwells strategic goals.

• Oversee legal support for major corporate actions equity raisings and transactions ensuring alignment with Cromwells business strategy and regulatory obligations.

• Provide expert legal guidance on funds management activities including compliance with AFSLs scheme establishment disclosure documents and regulatory requirements.

• Drive continuous improvement and innovation in legal processes governance frameworks and risk management practices to support Cromwells evolving needs.

Operational Responsibility:

• Ensure the effective delivery of day-to-day legal services including compliance documentation and support for business operations across the group.
