Job Description

The Testing Engineer will design develop and implement test hardware and software for productiontesting of new products. Evaluate deadlines goals and develop projectschedules.

• Design develops and implement solutions to improve test yields reduce over all Test time provide for test capacity increases minimize downtime and optimize test/process flows. This includes implementing new processes and technologies utilizing statistical tools and developing innovations to existing problems and issues.
• Analyzes and critiques equipment designs/processes relative to market
• requirements manufacturability costs and technical requirements.
• Identifies technical and quality problems determines alternatives and evaluates them to arrive at the most acceptable approach including conformity to specifications reliability cost effectiveness testability and reparability.
• Identifies need for assesses and/or develops technical/process specification standards and participates in establishing the procedures to ensure they are followed.
• Prepares and presents technical reports to influence the decision making process.
• Provide technical information and participates as a speaker in technical programs.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Ability to code programming languages

• Experience working in a Hardware or Software environment preferred.

• Strong RF knowledge

• Strong knowledge of test systems Hardware and Software architecture preferred.

• Familiarity with UNIX C & C

• Ability to work with minimum supervision preferred.

Candidates must reside in the Chicagoland area to be considered for this

opportunity!

Target Base Salary Range: $65900 - $100000

Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge skills and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.

Basic Requirements

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science Electrical Engineering or Software Engineering

• 2 plus years of experience as a Software Engineer or Hardware Testing Engineer required.

• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is work permit sponsorship is not available for this position.
