Job Description
What youll bring to MKO:Expert Project Oversight and Delivery- Take ownership of projects from inception to completion including managing project profitability.
- Provide regular project updates to the General Environmental team Project Director (Eoin OSullivan) and clients and report directly on project performance.
- Manage and oversee projects run by our General Environmental team day-to-day including handling fee agreements invoicing and consistently delivering on client expectations.
- Skillfully prioritise projects while balancing client expectations available staff resources and project deadlines thriving in a busy work environment.
Strategic leadership- Oversee guide and manage junior team members and sub-consultants to deliver project requirements.
- Engage effectively with external stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
- Demonstrate excellent project management skills be well-organised with meticulous attention to detail and manage a varied and full workload while meeting project deadlines.
Driving Business Development- Manage and implement business development initiatives for team.
- Win new work by preparing and overseeing the preparation of fee proposals identifying opportunities in the marketplace and ensuring a steady work flow.
What were looking for in youWe are seeking a dedicated professional with a minimum of 3 years of post-graduate experience in a similar role or function:
- A third-level qualification in environmental science environmental engineering or related fields that give the candidate the necessary skills to complete role.
- Experience of managing and contributing to Environmental Impact Assessment Reports (EIARs).
- Broad experience on medium to large-scale projects at the EIAR/Planning/Construction stage.
- Technical knowledge: Knowledge of civil engineering construction management ecology hydrology/hydrogeology noise air traffic geotechnical and other EIAR subject areas and the interrelationships between them.
- Familiarity and understanding of the Irish planning system environmental and waste management legislation.
- Excellent report writing and technical reviewing skills and strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience of engaging with external stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
- A full clean driving licence.
