Chef (Part-Time 30 Hours Per Week Monday to Friday)

Hourly Rate: $32.34
Busy Bees at Carrum Downs is seeking a Part-Time Chef (30 hours per week Monday to Friday) to join our warm and supportive team. This is an excellent opportunity for a chef who enjoys early hours consistency and worklife balance with no weekend work.
About the Role
In this role you will:
Plan and prepare nutritious meals and snacks in line with childrens dietary needs and centre menu plans
Maintain a safe clean and hygienic kitchen environment in accordance with Food Safety Standards
Manage stock levels ordering and kitchen supplies
Cater to special dietary requirements including allergies and cultural or medical needs
Collaborate with educators and leadership to support centre events and celebrations
Promote healthy eating habits and food education for children
What Youll Need
Certificate in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent experience working as a chef or cook)
Experience working in a kitchen environment within childcare (highly desirable)
Working with Children Check (Employee) VIC requirement
Understanding of nutrition requirements for young children
Food Safety Supervisor certification (or willingness to obtain)
Strong organisation skills and ability to work independently
Availability Monday to Friday across a 30-hour weekly schedule
