About the job:
As Zenitys first in-house Legal Counsel you will play a key role in supporting the companys commercial and operational growth. Youll help draft review and negotiate contracts support employment and vendor matters and assist with IP and privacy compliance. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-moving startup at the intersection of AI and cybersecurity helping establish efficient scalable legal processes that enable the business to move quickly and safely.
Responsibilities:
- Draft review and assist in negotiating commercial agreements including SaaS contracts NDAs and vendor agreements.
- Support all teams in day-to-day legal matters.
- Assist with employment-related documentation and coordination with external counsel when needed.
- Help ensure compliance with privacy and data protection laws (GDPR CCPA etc.).
- Contribute to legal templates playbooks and process improvements to streamline legal workflows.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to support business operations deals and risk management.
Requirements:
Requirements:
- J.D. degree and active license to practice law in at least one U.S. state.
- 510 years of relevant experience including experience in technology or cybersecurity companies (in-house or through client work).
- Strong understanding of commercial contracts and SaaS business models.
- Familiarity with data privacy IP and employment law.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Pragmatic business-oriented mindset with attention to detail.
- Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced global startup environment.
