Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Statistician/Senior Data Scientist with strong hands-on experience in Python solid statistical knowledge and the ability to independently handle end-to-end EDA for R&D projects.

The role involves working with various types of datasets and delivering insights through clean analysis visualizations predictive modeling and presentation-ready summaries.

This is a Mid-senior role where the person is expected to take ownership work independently and ensure high-quality client-ready output.

Key Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end statistical analysis: data cleaning --> EDA --> statistical tests --> insights --> reports/slides.

Perform in-depth statistical EDA including correlations distribution checks variable transformations group comparisons non-parametric tests etc.

Build clear visualizations (boxplots violin plots heatmaps scatterplots KDE etc.) using Python.

Conduct advanced statistical tests: ANOVA Mann-Whitney Kruskal-Wallis t-test correlation regression etc.

Build and evaluate predictive models using Python (scikit-learn) and support model testing within existing pipelines.

Create presentation-ready summary slides that are easy to understand for non-technical stakeholders.

Execute SQL queries to extract filter and aggregate data (basic-intermediate).

Maintain structured documentation of analysis assumptions decisions and results.

Ensure high-quality accurate and timely delivery with minimal supervision.

Required Skills

5-7 years of hands-on experience in statistical data analysis.

Strong understanding of statistics: distributions hypothesis testing regression non-parametric methods DoE is a plus.

Proficient in Python: pandas numpy scipy matplotlib seaborn.

Good knowledge of SQL (SELECT JOIN GROUP BY filtering).

Experience in predictive modeling using scikit-learn (classification and/or regression models).

Ability to translate complex statistical outputs into simple meaningful insights.

Strong attention to detail structured thinking and clear communication.

Ability to work independently in long-term research-oriented projects.

Preferred Skills (Nice-to-have)

Experience with cosmetic FMCG pharmaceutical or scientific datasets.

Experience with scikit-learn (for basic ML models).

Experience working with large datasets and multiple variable groups.

Understanding of sensory instrumental or formulation data (big plus).

Education

Masters or Bachelors degree in Statistics Data Science Mathematics Biostatistics or a related quantitative field.
