Core Responsibilities

  • Plan and prioritise workshop tasks to meet equipment and production schedules.
  • Ensure all mechanical work is completed safely and to company standards.
  • Lead motivate and develop your team supporting training and performance growth.
  • Supervise all workshop staff contractors and subcontractors.
  • Conduct daily briefings and regular toolbox talks to keep the team aligned and informed.
  • Oversee maintenance of tools and equipment to ensure safety and reliability.
  • Manage resources including labour materials and inventory to keep production running smoothly.
  • Monitor production costs and quality resolving issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with other departments to achieve operational goals
  • Keep workshop machinery and equipment in top shape to minimise downtime.
  • Track production inventory and maintenance providing updates to management.
  • Collaborate with production engineering logistics and quality teams to keep operations running smoothly.

What we need from you

  • Minimum 5 years experience in heavy workshop and field maintenance with supervisory experience.
  • Trade qualified HD Mechanic
  • Experienced in leading operations across multiple functions including budget and delivery responsibilities.
  • Strong leader with a proven ability to recruit motivate and manage a team.
  • Focused on safety able to identify risks and take action to reduce hazards.
  • Strong problem-solving analytical and mechanical skills.
  • Experience with mobile mining equipment and component rebuilds.
  • Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic abilities.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Skilled in coaching and mentoring workshop staff.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong planning and organisation skills to monitor performance and schedule work efficiently.
