The Housekeeping Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the housekeeping department ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness sanitation and aesthetic upkeep throughout the hotel. This role involves strategic planning staff management and maintaining a seamless operation to enhance guest satisfaction cultivating a culture of excellence inspiring the team to strive for perfection and take pride in their work. The role is dedicated to drive exceptional results exceeding guest expectations and making a lasting impression.
What will I be doing
As the Housekeeping Manager you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
Department Leadership
Manage and oversee the daily operations of the housekeeping department ensuring seamless workflow and adherence to quality standards.
Guest Satisfaction
Ensure guest rooms public areas and back-of-house spaces meet or exceed cleanliness and presentation expectations.
Respond promptly to guest inquiries or complaints implementing solutions to enhance satisfaction.
Team Management & Development
Recruit train and mentor housekeeping team member ensuring they are equipped with the skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
Inventory & Supplies Management
Monitor and maintain inventory levels of cleaning supplies linens and amenities ensuring timely replenishment.
Implement cost-effective practices while maintaining quality and service standards.
Compliance & Safety
Ensure all housekeeping operations comply with health safety and hygiene regulations.
Conduct regular safety training sessions and inspections to minimize risks.
Collaboration & Communication
Work closely with other departments such as Front Office and Engineering to coordinate efforts and address operational needs.
Budget & Cost Control
Assist in preparing and managing the housekeeping department budget tracking expenses and identifying cost-saving measures.
