IR Neuro Rad Tech Day

Schedule: 58 hr shifts (negotiable up to 410 hr shifts)
Call: 23 call shifts per month at least 1 holiday assignment
Note: No rotating shift schedule

Position Overview

Join a highly specialized Interventional Radiology team focused on Neurosurgery and Neuroscience procedures. We are seeking an experienced Radiologic Technologist who brings strong IR skills outstanding patient care and the ability to perform in a fast-paced high-acuity environment. Candidates with Interventional Radiology experience are strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality diagnostic images by selecting proper exposure factors and positioning

• Assist Radiologists during neuro/interventional procedures

• Administer oral contrast as required per exam

• Prepare and instruct patients for radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures

• Operate all X-ray CR and DR systems efficiently and safely

• Report equipment issues promptly to leadership

• Support daily operations by assisting teammates stocking transporting and clerical duties

• Maintain medication security and ensure patient rights and confidentiality

• Use HIS RIS and PACS accurately and responsibly

• Provide excellent communication with physicians staff and patients

• Participate in performance-improvement initiatives as needed

Requirements

• Valid NY State Radiologic Technologist License

• ARRT Certification

• 2 years of experience

• BLS (AHA only)

• Neurosurgery/Neuroscience experience required

Preferred Qualifications

• Interventional Radiology (VIR) experience

• Previous Neuro IR experience (unit typically trains RTs from other modalities over 6 months)
