Job Summary

To perform a variety of semi-skilled tasks related to the operation maintenance (O&M) and construction of the water distribution wastewater and storm collection systems. Under the general direction of a Superior a Utilities Trade I shall be involved in the day to day operation maintenance and repair of these systems working closely with crews and independently performing a variety of O&M tasks and programs such as but not limited to: installing/repairing watermains sanitary and storm mains services and manholes installation/repair of water meters as well as the repair and maintenance of the Citys pumping and PRV stations.

The Training Manual Requirements pre-qualifications for this position are:

Environmental Operator Certification in Water Distribution I or Wastewater Collection I accredited through the Environmental Operator Certification Program (EOCP) with an expectation that if an employee only has one qualification they will obtain the other within twelve (12) months or else revert back to their previous position
A minimum of two (2) years relevant experience in the water/wastewater environment is required.

The Class Specification requires a Valid Class 5 Drivers License for the Province of British Columbia and is a job requirement.
