Description
Position Summary:
A Staff Accountant is responsible for providing support to our accounting team in ensuring proper accounting treatment for all financial transactions and maintaining the financial integrity of our company. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills that allow him or her to coordinate resources for multiple projects. This full-time position has no direct reports and reports to the Controller at the headquarters - the north side of Indianapolis IN.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly close journal entries for assigned accounts.
- Ensure appropriate journal entries are processed.
- Daily review and reconcile bank activity for all cash accounts.
- Assist with various account reconciliations.
- Research track and resolve any issues.
- Process and assist with other periodic payments and compliance reports.
- Review enter and maintain new and current vendor information.
- Support the expense management process.
- Assist AR AP and Controller with financial audits as needed.
- Ad-hoc projects reporting and account reconciliations and other assignments as needed to support the finance team.
- Operational Excellence: Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives consistently working towards the achievement of individual and team goals.
- Additional Duties: Perform all other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Minimum of 2 years related experience.
- Excel and QuickBooks Online.
- Experience with multiple locations and currencies a plus.
- Self-motivated strong problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks and projects.
