This role supports Project SEARCH a partnershipbetween FelloAnne Arundel County Public Schoolsand the Maryland Division of Rehabilitation Services (DORS).Project SEARCH is a work-based learning experience for students with disabilities who are transitioning from school to adult Employment Advisor position is based atLuminisHealth at Anne Arundel Medical Center in AnnapolisMD.

TheEmployment Advisorprovides a wide variety of Workforce Development related services with a focus on job coaching and retention services to5-12peoplein ProjectSEARCH working as interns atLuminisHealthduring the school schoolbreaksthey will assist in supporting other participants in Fellos Workforce Development Employment Advisor works with an interdisciplinary team to provide wrap aroundsupportsto ensure people with disabilitiesretainemployment and improve work Employment Advisor may provide transportation to and from work for the people they are assigned to Employment Advisor must meet the qualifications of a direct support professional and complete all training excluding Certified Medication Technician.

The ideal candidatewill bring experience in job coaching workforce development or related services and a passion for empowering people with disabilities to succeed in meaningful employment. They will be organized collaborative and skilled at relationship-building with employers coworkers and communicationskills attention to detail and the ability towork independently andadapt to changing needs are essential as is a commitment to person-centered support and building confidence in those served.

This position requiresa high school diploma or equivalent with at least two years of experience working with people with disabilities; a bachelors degree and experience in workforce development programs is a plus. A valid Maryland Drivers License with no significant traffic violations isrequired along with the ability to drive a car or van. Basic computer skills includingproficiencyin MS Word Outlook and other technology tools are hired employees must pass ACRES certification (paid forby Fello) and obtain the Certified Employment Specialist Professional certification within one year of hire.
