Job Description Summary
In support of the Student Affairs Learning Outcomes Student Organizations assists recognized student-led organizations in their efforts to engage students in a variety of activities based in several categories including: Academic and Professional; Civic Engagement; Social Awareness and Cultural; Honor Societies; Leisure and Special Interest; Performance and Arts; Recreational Fitness and Wellness; and Religious and Spiritual. Along with professional staff and in collaboration with the entire Student Organizations team the Lead Student Organization Assistant is responsible for leading a group of Student Organization Assistants and facilitating the quality frequency and sustainability of student-led organizations. All Lead Student Organization Assistants are members of the Department of Student Engagement and the Division of Student Affairs.

Responsibilities
Assist with training team development and schedule coordination for all SOAs Work alongside professional staff to develop plan and implement trainings and meetings for club and organization leadership (including executive members and faculty/staff advisors as needed) Plan and execute the Student Involvement Fair in Fall and Spring semesters in conjunction with the Graduate Assistant Respond to all communication from clubs and organizations within 24 hours of receiving the correspondence General email inquiries Category specific inquiries Assists student organizations in their efforts to engage students in a variety of activities based in several categories including Assist staff members in Student Engagement with administrative support of the Student Events Advisory Committee ( SEAC ) Create and send monthly Student Club & Organization Newsletters Maintain an accurate and updated record of club/organization status and contact information Promote the use of and oversee Panther Connect portals ensuring that organizations have an updated profile Lead re-recognition process each semester including facilitating Complete tasks alongside SOAs (as needed) including: Advise and support clubs and organizations in recruiting members Advise and support clubs and organizations in planning events Check 25Live and approve or deny student organization room scheduling requests Process submissions of Panther Connect forms based on current processes Act as primary liaison between Department of Student Engagement and student organizations Assist student organizations in upholding all University policies regarding event planning Assist in coordination of any student organization award/recognition efforts Assist in Department of Student Engagement department-wide events Assist in other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications
Little to minimal prior experience. Ability to learn support process. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
